Onboard Safety Critical Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

hirify.global develops aerospace and defence systems, including safety-critical airborne software for air-refueling platforms.

What you will do

• Own software requirements specifications for onboard safety-critical computing platforms in the Air Refueling domain.
• Lead hardware/software integration testing for onboard safety-critical processing units.
• Develop and verify software to RTCA DO-178B/C DAL A/B standards through testing, reviews, and analysis.
• Support software certification activities with certification authorities and demonstrate compliance with DO-178B/C objectives.
• Lead research and development projects focused on new technologies for safety-critical airborne systems development and certification.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in safety-critical software engineering and software certification processes.
• Advanced knowledge of C/C++, Ada95/2012, UML, SysML, Matlab/Simulink, and SCADE Suite/Display.
• Demonstrated experience applying RTCA DO-178B/C up to DAL A/B.
• Advanced knowledge of static timing analysis, design constraints, optimization, real-time operating systems, partitioning architectures, and ARINC 653.
• Knowledge of software verification, structural coverage analysis, worst-case execution time analysis, static code analysis, and formal reviews.
• Advanced knowledge of artificial intelligence and demonstrated experience using AI techniques in safety-critical or airborne systems.

Nice to have

• Advanced Python and scripting skills.
• Experience with Agile frameworks, continuous integration, JIRA, and Git/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of GPU/GPGPU, FPGA integration of AI and computer vision algorithms, and certification of AI in airborne systems.
• Experience with synthetic data generation, visual simulations, and Unreal Engine.
