Senior Firmware Engineer (Embedded)

What you will do

• Develop and qualify embedded firmware for safety-critical solid-state components and systems.
• Design and execute unit-level, system-level, qualification, and reliability tests.
• Build automated and robust test suites in collaboration with QA engineers.
• Establish safety-critical software processes aligned with UL 1988, IEC 60730, IEC 61508, and ISO 26262.
• Develop DFMEA documentation and support hardware bring-up, manufacturing implementation, and production ramp-up.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams, including occasional travel for supplier and production support.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a BS degree with equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on embedded firmware development for 32-bit and 64-bit ARM architectures.
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS development, including FreeRTOS and Zephyr.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Modbus, CAN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Working knowledge of cryptography, algorithms, and encryption for embedded devices.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and firmware for safety-critical applications.
