Manager, Accounting - News, Entertainment and Sports

Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States; hybrid work with a minimum of three office days per week

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities for the TV Networks organization.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting packages.
• Analyze accounting impacts of new or complex transactions with Finance and Technical Accounting teams.
• Maintain internal controls for SOX compliance and support audits with schedules and auditor responses.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, reporting systems, and controllership tools, including amortization systems.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff while coordinating with Financial Planning, Controllership, IT, Legal, and other business units.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of Accounting and/or Finance experience, preferably in the entertainment industry.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and financial accounting standards.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP, financial close, reconciliations, reporting, and revenue streams is required for the role.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with at least three days per week from the Englewood Cliffs office.
