Senior Manager VSA Accounting & Reporting

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and the role does not offer employment visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with potential bonus participation.

What you will do

• Manage staff preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual U.S. statutory NAIC reports, supplements, audited financial statements, and VSA accounting.
• Oversee investment presentation in financial statements and lead audits for investments.
• Research accounting pronouncements, guidelines, investment types, and disclosure requirements.
• Interpret U.S. Statutory and U.S. GAAP requirements and recommend accounting and reporting changes.
• Lead process improvements, system enhancements, and new process and project implementations.
• Design and implement controls for accounting and financial reporting processes, including remediation of compliance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of financial reporting experience and 3–5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Statutory (NAIC) and/or U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
• Public accounting or investment-related financial reporting experience; investment experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, with strong technical, analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is unavailable.

• Experience using Alteryx and Wings annual statement software.
