Manager Accounting Systems (m/f/d) (SAP FI)

What you will do

• Act as the primary contact for SAP FI topics, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and banking.
• Analyze finance processes, identify optimization opportunities, and implement automation solutions.
• Gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications, and coordinate with IT teams and external consultants.
• Support integrations with e-invoicing, consolidation, banking, and reporting systems, while ensuring FI integration with MM, SD, and CO.
• Plan and execute user acceptance testing, approve system changes, and support SAP upgrades, legal-entity onboarding, and go-live activities.
• Maintain FI master data and documentation, support financial closing, define authorization concepts, and train key and end users.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or a comparable field, or relevant commercial vocational training.
• Several years of experience with SAP FI as a key user, in-house consultant, or SAP consultant.
• Strong understanding of SAP FI integration with MM, SD, and CO.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including German GAAP (HGB) and basic IFRS principles.
• Experience working in project environments and with IT service providers or external consultants.
• Fluent German and good English, written and spoken.
