Senior Manager, Compliance & Audit (AI)

Location: United States (Remote)

Base salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Own the annual audit and certification lifecycle for SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 readiness.
• Lead the Part 11 compliance program, including system inventories, GxP impact assessments, risk-based validation, audit trails, electronic signatures, access controls, and record retention.
• Maintain a unified control framework, automate evidence collection, and integrate controls into engineering, delivery, release, access review, and data-handling processes.
• Plan internal audits and management reviews, evaluate evidence, document findings, and drive CAPAs and remediation through closure.
• Maintain the ISO/IEC 42001 AI management system, including AI risk and impact assessments and model lifecycle controls.
• Manage customer security reviews, sponsor quality audits, RFP and contract compliance responses, GRC tooling, policies, training, and regulatory monitoring.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT compliance, GRC, audit, or computerized systems validation, with direct ownership of external audits.
• Hands-on FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP data integrity experience, including ALCOA+ principles, audit trails, electronic signatures, access controls, and record retention.
• Experience leading validation deliverables such as validation plans, requirements traceability, risk-based test evidence, IQ/OQ/PQ or CSA-style evidence, and validation summary reports.
• Experience with SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO/IEC 27001 audits or certifications; technical fluency across cloud configurations, IAM, CI/CD, logging, change management, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to plan internal audits, assess evidence, write findings, manage CAPAs, and communicate effectively with engineers, executives, auditors, customers, and certification bodies.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, FDA Computer Software Assurance, GAMP 5, or EU Annex 11.
• Certifications such as CISA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer, ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQA, or CISSP.
