VP, Theatrical Subtitling (AI)

What you will do

• Set global theatrical subtitling operations strategy, manage budgets, and oversee departmental P&L.
• Oversee secure Digital Cinema Packages with timed-text files using SMPTE and InterOP standards.
• Partner with directors, creative leaders, and distribution executives to preserve creative intent and cultural nuances during localization.
• Lead global teams across London, Los Angeles, Seoul, and Tokyo.
• Research AI technologies for subtitling, accessibility, scripting, and censorship or compliance.
• Establish quality metrics, process improvements, project-management practices, and scalable workflows for reliable on-time delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in subtitling or media localization, including deep theatrical experience.
• Experience supervising large-scale projects with local and remote teams on a global scale.
• Ability to identify risks and manage complex projects from start to finish under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational, communication, management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate technical workflows and business requirements to non-technical audiences and software development teams.
• Curiosity about new technology and sound judgment regarding its practical value.
