What you will do

• Support multidisciplinary teams in inventing and developing new products and technologies.
• Contribute to technology and product development from invention and analysis through prototype design and transfer to manufacture.
• Work across projects in areas including drug delivery, drug discovery, AI-enabled technologies, and 5G communications hardware.
• Build commercial understanding, engage directly with clients, present findings, and ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
• Progress toward leading projects, building teams, and managing client relationships.
• Represent hirify.global at UK and international conferences and help develop new client relationships.

Requirements

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or expected completion within the next 6–12 months.
• Minimum 2:1 academic result in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, inventiveness, and rigorous first-principles thinking.
• Commercial awareness, entrepreneurial motivation, and interest in turning technologies into real-world products.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with strong personal responsibility and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Availability to work on-site five days a week in Melbourn, Royston, UK.
