Senior Embedded Software Engineer, RLS

What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance C/C++ embedded software for Linux platforms.
• Implement real-time operating system functionality and networking protocols to meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Develop modular and scalable software aligned with system requirements.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize embedded software for reliability, performance, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with architects, peer teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on requirements, defect resolution, schedules, and delivery.
• Guide junior engineers and coordinate timelines, priorities, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
• Professional experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience working with Linux platforms.
• Experience with data-driven architectures, YANG, REST, JSON, and XML.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of photonic technologies and their use in networking systems.
• Experience with Bitbucket or GitHub for version control and code collaboration.
• Experience with real-time operating systems, networking protocols, and hardware devices and drivers.
• Familiarity with microservice-based software architectures.
