IT Project Manager (Healthcare IT)

What you will do

• Lead client-facing IT infrastructure and managed services projects from initiation through closure.
• Plan and deliver onboardings, migrations, offboardings, infrastructure implementations, cybersecurity deployments, hardware refreshes, and environment upgrades.
• Translate statements of work and technical requirements into project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and go-live checkpoints.
• Coordinate engineers, technical leads, Procurement, Account Management, Sales, vendors, and client stakeholders across interdependent workstreams.
• Monitor scope, schedules, budgets, labor hours, risks, blockers, documentation, client commitments, and vendor dependencies.
• Validate implementation readiness, quality assurance, client acceptance, billing milestones, project closure, and transition to support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least four years of experience managing client-facing IT infrastructure or managed services projects in an MSP, technology services provider, consulting organization, or similar environment.
• Experience with several of the following: networking, servers, endpoints, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, identity and access, cybersecurity, migrations, hardware deployment, site readiness, or IT environment assessments.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, including scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, risk and issue management, acceptance criteria, and go-live readiness.
• Ability to coordinate technical resources, vendors, procurement, account teams, and clients while managing ambiguity, scope changes, and escalations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with project management platforms and Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, senior care, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with ConnectWise, Jira, GuideCX, or a comparable project management platform.
• PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, or another relevant certification.
• Experience managing a high-volume project portfolio in a resource-constrained environment.
