Materials and Supply Chain Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Newton Aycliffe, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 days per week from home available.

Salary: Up to £32,000 per year depending on experience.

hirify.global's Procurement division is partnering with an established and ambitious organisation on a supply chain appointment.

What you will do

• Maintain purchase order, supplier, and project trackers with quantities, dates, statuses, risks, and actions.
• Obtain supplier acknowledgements and expedite materials and services against production and project requirements.
• Identify delays, shortages, and conflicting priorities, escalating risks and coordinating corrective actions.
• Coordinate information between suppliers and Procurement, Projects, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics.
• Track manufacturing progress, inspection readiness, non-conformance, rework, and release status through to closure.
• Update ERP records, delivery schedules, status reports, exception reports, and KPI information.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, supply chain, order, production, or project coordination.
• Experience expediting suppliers or subcontractors and obtaining reliable progress and delivery updates.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence maintaining structured trackers and reports.
• Knowledge of purchase order lifecycles, ERP systems, and controlled project or supplier documentation.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, renewables, subsea, or another project-led environment is advantageous.
• A relevant Procurement or Supply Chain qualification, or progress towards one, is desirable but not essential.
