Business Systems Analyst (Manufacturing)

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the operational health of enterprise applications and contribute to future-state platform adoption.
• Understand manufacturing business processes end to end across ERP, supply chain, inventory, production planning, quality, and financial functions.
• Trace transactions through online screens, COBOL programs, DB2 tables, batch jobs, and upstream or downstream interfaces.
• Lead requirements gathering, backlog management, functional and regression testing, UAT, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Document business processes, system workflows, and data flows while identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact incidents and support cutover and post-go-live stabilization.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a comparable hands-on application support role.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Direct experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or planning business processes and systems.
• Working knowledge of mainframe technologies, including online screens, programs, DB2 tables, batch jobs, and interfaces.
• Experience with a major ERP platform such as SAP, Oracle, or a comparable system and manufacturing-relevant modules.
• Practical experience with incident management, root cause analysis, backlog ownership, requirements, and structured problem solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP platforms and integration platforms.
• Background in aerospace and defense manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent incident and problem management frameworks.
