Production Team Leader (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Monitor daily production, quality output, downtime, and production status using OPS and L2L Team Board.
• Schedule production, allocate resources, manage vacation coverage, and control overtime.
• Lead shift-start employee meetings, participate in Gemba walks, and provide performance feedback.
• Coordinate personnel training and coaching recommendations.
• Complete Team Leader, 5S, and verification audits; collect and reconcile work orders.
• Monitor preventive maintenance and lead OPS improvement initiatives while enforcing health, safety, environmental, legal, quality, and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a relevant college diploma is preferred.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of production equipment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14000, APQP, statistical process control, and metrology.
• Knowledge of US occupational health and safety regulations, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong communication and technical writing skills.
