Technical Trainer - Automotive

Location: Based at Sydney Olympic Park, Australia, with national travel to NRMA sites and contractor locations, including regional and remote areas. Hybrid work is available when not travelling.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver training for frontline employees, including roadside patrols, tow truck drivers, driver trainers, and managers.
• Conduct learning needs analyses, identify skill gaps, and set learner priorities with stakeholders.
• Create learning materials and programmes using multiple platforms and tools.
• Deliver blended learning through e-learning, virtual sessions, self-directed learning, and in-person workshops.
• Collaborate with the Roadside training team and business stakeholders to align learning initiatives with organisational objectives and values.
• Travel nationally to provide consistent training across NRMA sites and contractor locations.

Requirements

• Qualified Mechanic or Automotive Electrician.
• Current Class C driver’s licence is essential.
• Experience in a similar learning and development training role within the automotive industry.
• Strong facilitation skills for online and face-to-face training of frontline teams.
• Instructional design experience across platforms and tools including Articulate, Canva, Ed-App, and Vyond.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships, take ownership of projects, and stay current with automotive technology and design trends.

Nice to have

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar qualification.
• Interest in specialised commercial training in road safety.
