Configuration Lead (Genesys)

Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with two days per week onsite; the Edinburgh office is at 2 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh, EH12 9FQ.

Salary: £57,760–£86,640 plus annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and lead the configuration management strategy, governance framework and operating model.
• Manage the end-to-end configuration lifecycle, including intake, impact assessment, prioritisation, testing, documentation, approval and release.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, PMO and third-party vendors to deliver safe and compliant configuration changes.
• Provide expert guidance on configuration readiness, risk, feasibility, sequencing and implementation approaches.
• Analyse metrics, defects and trends to improve quality, reduce rework and strengthen system stability.
• Lead configuration governance, risk management and audit readiness, serving as the senior escalation point for configuration decisions and exceptions.

Requirements

• Expertise in Genesys configuration management and controlled change delivery in complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of configuration governance, risk management, audit requirements, compliance controls and change management practices.
• Experience leading configuration activities across Agile and traditional delivery environments.
• Ability to assess requirements, risks and impacts effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross-functional technology teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle, with two onsite days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated, financial services or high-availability environments.
• Insurance industry knowledge.
• Experience with CDL Strata.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
