Solution Engineer II (Payments)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Base salary: €35,200–€52,800 annually, plus 30% OTE.

hirify.global, a Mollie company, provides a global bank payments platform for collecting, managing, and sending Direct Debit, real-time, and open banking payments.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical lead during engagements with prospective and existing merchants.
• Work with sales teams to qualify, shape, close, and support business opportunities.
• Present and craft product demonstrations.
• Conduct technical discovery and architect solution designs for prospects.
• Collaborate with product teams on improvements, initiatives, and feature requests.
• Coordinate with implementation managers and customer success teams to support smooth client journeys.

Requirements

• Experience in pre-sales or post-sales solution engineering.
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Experience using API tools such as Postman and debugging or logging tools.
• Experience building integrations with payment service providers.
• Deep understanding of APIs and programming skills in at least one common programming language.
• Strong storytelling, problem-solving, curiosity, and consultative communication skills.
