What you will do

• Deliver C-130J simulator instruction, briefings, debriefings, and classroom ground-school events.
• Provide training for Pilot Initial Qualification, upgrade, and currency programs.
• Assess, mentor, and support trainee progress.
• Maintain instructor qualifications and currency requirements.
• Contribute to courseware development, continuous improvement, quality management, and aviation safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualifications and experience required to be authorised by the Commanding Officer, RAAF Central Flying School, as a competent Simulator Pilot Instructor.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the ability to obtain it.
• At least two years of experience as a Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor in an aircrew training environment, or at least 1,000 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew tactical transport aircraft such as the C-130J or C-27J.
• Ability to complete the ground training elements of the C-130J Pilot Conversion Course.
• Australian Citizenship required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance required.

Nice to have

• Previous C-130J instructional experience.
• Military QFI or OFI qualifications.
• Flight simulation instruction experience.
• Instructional experience in military or tactical airlift operations.
