Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Clinical Education Phase 2 and 3 Lead, Doctor of Medicine

Location: Part-time hybrid role based at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute and Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

Salary: Full-time equivalent base salary of AUD 143,418–165,374 per annum for Academic Senior Lecturer (Level C), or AUD 172,686–190,248 per annum for Academic Associate Professor (Level D), plus 17% superannuation.

What you will do

• Deliver clinical education to medical students in Phases 2 and 3 of the Doctor of Medicine program.
• Coordinate simulation learning, case-based learning, bedside teaching and student assessment.
• Provide academic support for students undertaking the final two clinical years of the program.
• Lead teaching, assessment, course convenorship and curriculum development activities for the MD program.
• Develop teaching innovations and provide academic leadership in scholarship, service and professional activities.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Sub-Dean, Phase Leads and academic colleagues across campuses and clinical sites.

Requirements

• Medical degree from a recognised educational institution.
• PhD or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline, evidence of progress towards completion, and/or Professional Fellowship.
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.
• Demonstrated expertise and experience teaching medical students and/or junior doctors in academic or clinical settings.
• Unrestricted working rights are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
