Cloud Software Development Engineer

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, validate, and optimize software for system simulation, modeling, automation, and cloud-based development environments.
• Build high-fidelity development environments and shift-left solutions that enable firmware and software development before silicon availability.
• Develop scalable software and automation frameworks that improve developer productivity and product readiness.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers, operating system developers, architects, silicon designers, and software teams.
• Analyze complex system software, simulation, firmware, and hardware-software interaction issues.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices and automation to improve engineering efficiency, performance, reliability, and software quality.

Requirements

• Hybrid work in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, with on-site attendance at the assigned hirify.global site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience; or a master’s degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with 1+ years.
• Experience in software development, debugging large-scale development environments, computer architecture, and system software concepts.
• Programming experience with C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• This position is not eligible for hirify.global immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with system simulation, virtual platforms, modeling technologies, or emulation environments.
• Knowledge of RAS, memory technologies, security, I/O subsystems, accelerators, GPUs, or AI platforms.
• Experience debugging firmware, operating systems, device drivers, or other low-level software.
• Experience with cloud-native development, distributed systems, Kubernetes, containers, or DevOps practices.
• Experience applying AI or ML to software engineering workflows, automation, or developer productivity.
