Senior Legal Counsel: Infrastructure and Construction (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Provide strategic, commercially focused legal support across infrastructure, operations, procurement, and supply chain activities.
• Lead legal support for construction and infrastructure projects, property transactions, leasing, and development matters.
• Negotiate complex supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial, and project agreements.
• Advise on power, energy, utilities, insurance, claims, and risk management matters.
• Support legal risk management, regulatory compliance, and the development of legal templates, policies, and frameworks.
• Partner with procurement, projects, operations, development, energy, and commercial teams while reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a top-tier law firm and/or sophisticated in-house legal environment.
• Strong experience in construction, property, supply chain, procurement, energy, utilities, insurance, and commercial contracting.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial and project arrangements.
• Strong commercial judgment, pragmatic legal risk management, autonomy, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, or equivalent qualification, with admission as a legal practitioner in Australia and eligibility to hold a practising certificate.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, utilities, logistics, or data centre sectors.
• Experience supporting large-scale operational and capital project environments.
