Senior Legal Counsel, Capital Markets & Corporate Development (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Provide strategic legal support for debt financing, lending arrangements, equity capital raisings, and investment transactions.
• Lead legal support for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and corporate development initiatives.
• Advise executive leadership, finance, corporate development, and external advisers on complex commercial and transactional matters.
• Support corporate structuring, transaction execution, legal risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and frameworks.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Experience in a top-tier law firm or sophisticated in-house legal environment.
• Strong expertise in debt finance, equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex financing, investment, and transactional arrangements.
• Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia and eligibility to hold an Australian practising certificate.

Nice to have

• Experience with capital raising, private equity, infrastructure investment, or corporate development programs.
• Experience advising on cross-border transactions and complex multi-party arrangements.
