What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, operate, and maintain electrical, electronic, instrumentation, control, and power distribution systems.
• Maintain plant lighting, variable frequency drives, sensors, flow meters, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Use electrical prints, schematics, ladder logic, technical manuals, test equipment, and the National Electrical Code to complete assigned work.
• Complete work orders, maintain spare-parts availability, and keep electrical schematics and control documentation current.
• Perform assigned preventive and predictive maintenance and support continual improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, shift leadership, contractors, and other support groups on plant operations and electrical projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, plus completion of an approved two-year electrical trade school or equivalent electrical trade experience.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, including 4160 VAC, 480 VAC, 277 VAC, 240 VAC, 120 VAC, AC/DC drives, motors, and circuits.
• Understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs, SLC, ControlLogix, plant motor controls, power distribution, and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics, use basic computer applications, and pass the instrumentation test.
• Lockout/Tagout, arc-flash, electrical-shock hazard, and sanitation certifications are required; training is available for unqualified candidates.
• Ability to communicate, understand instructions, and follow directions in written and spoken English.
