Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering (PLC/HMI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and support PLC/HMI software for manufacturing equipment and automation projects.
• Lead software projects from requirements definition through validation, production deployment, and technical handover.
• Build reliable, maintainable, scalable, and standardized software using reusable components, documentation, and revision control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to define requirements, integrate systems, and manage technical risks.
• Develop smart manufacturing solutions using automation, data analytics, IoT, AI/ML, computer vision, and digital technologies.
• Improve quality, yield, productivity, cycle time, OEE, equipment availability, downtime, labor efficiency, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, robotics/automation engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes, with a basic understanding of manufacturing equipment.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming and manufacturing automation systems.
• Knowledge of C#, C++, Python, AI, computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and web applications.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 concepts, as well as HDD processes, HDD quality management, ESD, and contamination control.
• Good English proficiency in speaking and writing.
