Sr Global Packaging Engineer

Location: Teparuk, Thailand; onsite role

hirify.global develops and manufactures data-storage products, including hard disk drives, solid-state drives, components, and related systems.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, qualification, and implementation of protective packaging for new and existing products.
• Develop component-level packaging such as thermoformed trays and handling media, along with cartons, cushions, pallets, and unit loads.
• Define packaging requirements, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and validation plans.
• Coordinate drop, shock, vibration, compression, stacking, and transportation validation.
• Manage packaging compliance, sustainability requirements, engineering documentation, and business-system data.
• Analyze packaging data and coordinate projects, suppliers, priorities, schedules, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience developing protective packaging for components and finished products.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, supplier development, and change control.
• Experience with packaging qualification and mechanical testing, including drop, shock, vibration, compression, and stacking.
• Knowledge of packaging compliance, restricted substances, recyclability, labeling, sustainability, or customer reporting.
• Experience with data mining, cleansing, validation, analysis, and visualization using Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of enterprise systems such as Windchill, SAP, JIRA, or similar platforms, plus experience in global product-development or manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• SolidWorks or comparable MCAD experience.
• Statistics, Six Sigma, or workflow automation experience.
