Senior Business Analyst (Ecommerce)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Mateo, Los Angeles, or San Diego, California, United States

Base pay: $147,000–$220,600 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead business analysis for complex commercial initiatives across hirify.global Store and hirify.global Direct.
• Translate business objectives, customer needs, and operational processes into clear, structured, and testable requirements.
• Collaborate with Business, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams to resolve issues and manage dependencies.
• Assess customer and operational impacts of proposed ecommerce products, features, and business changes.
• Map current and future-state processes, identify opportunities for improvement or automation, and support implementation.
• Test commercial hypotheses, influence senior stakeholders, and provide evidence-based recommendations.

Requirements

• Extensive business analysis experience in digital commerce, subscriptions, retail, or a related field.
• Experience leading analysis for complex initiatives and delivering measurable commercial or operational outcomes.
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams to deliver commerce products and supporting tools.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce customer journeys, commercial drivers, operational processes, and business dependencies.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across regions, time zones, and cultures, with flexibility for international travel and varied working hours.

• Knowledge of payments, finance, and supply chains.
• Experience integrating AI and machine learning into business solutions.
• Familiarity with digital content management and publishing.
• Awareness of governance and ethics in AI and data practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
