Lead Quality Engineer AI Enablement

Location: East Aurora, New York, United States; in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Solve Quality and business problems by framing decision and workflow needs and building or coordinating rapid AI-enabled prototypes.
• Prototype decision-support tools, knowledge-retrieval solutions, workflow automations, dashboards, document-generation experiences, predictive models, and agentic workflows.
• Partner with GTO, the Office of AI, data, cybersecurity, architecture, Quality, and external technology partners to define scalable solution paths and production-readiness criteria.
• Manage vendor inputs, including requirements, pilot scopes, demos, deliverables, solution comparisons, and relationship coordination.
• Map Quality and Safety workflows, decision points, systems, artifacts, exceptions, and approval gates with subject-matter experts.
• Define AI-ready context, source inventories, taxonomies, prompts, test cases, quality gates, validation plans, and handoff packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Product Development, Business Process Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is considered.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality, Product Development, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Business Analysis, AI enablement, data and analytics, technology delivery, solution consulting, or process transformation.
• Experience creating prototypes or proofs of concept and translating successful pilots into scalable implementation plans.
• Experience working with IT, data, platform, architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise technology, or external partner teams.
• Practical understanding of RAG, AI agents, workflow automation, human-in-the-loop review, model evaluation, and AI output validation.
• Strong analytical, systems-thinking, presentation, storytelling, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in toys, consumer products, manufacturing, product safety, regulatory compliance, product development, or Quality Engineering.
• Familiarity with New Product Development gates and deliverables, including ICR, DSP, CR/FPR, PCD, PRD, hazard analysis, labeling, lab testing, and production pilots.
• Experience with Veeva, Polarion, Windchill, Agile PLM, GCP/BigQuery, SharePoint, Teams, or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience with process mapping, business architecture, product ownership, solution design, process mining, knowledge graphs, or taxonomy design.
