Quality Engineering Lead (AI)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $200,000–$235,000 per year, with equity and benefits included in the total compensation package.

What you will do

• Manage and grow a team of 1–2 quality engineers while remaining hands-on technically.
• Set the quality strategy and standards for the Thyme Box care management platform.
• Add quality feedback points across requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, and release.
• Lead bug triage, analyze quality trends, and provide recommendations to engineering and product leadership.
• Perform exploratory testing, especially at system boundaries and integration points.
• Own root cause analysis for escaped defects and production incidents, and improve development practices to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• 5+ years building, shipping, and supporting production software as an engineer, quality engineer, or SRE.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Fluency with quality tooling, CI pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
• Ability to communicate quality risks and trends clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to influence the quality of a product owned by another team through evidence and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or health technology.
• Experience using AI tooling to improve developer productivity, code quality, or engineering practices.
