Data Security Engineering Lead (DLP/DSPM)

What you will do

• Own the data protection domain, including strategy, standards, technical implementation, documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Engineer, deploy, and tune DLP policies across endpoints, email, SaaS, network proxies, and cloud platforms.
• Design and operate DSPM capabilities for data visibility, discovery, classification, data-flow analysis, misconfiguration detection, and exposure-risk management across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop detection rules using regular expressions, data fingerprinting, document fingerprinting, EDM, and machine-learning classifiers.
• Integrate DLP and DSPM with SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, CI/CD pipelines, and automated response workflows.
• Monitor and investigate alerts, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with Security, IT, Engineering, Product, Privacy, GRC, and SOC teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of cybersecurity experience focused on data security, data protection, or information security.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise DLP platforms, authoring policies, tuning rules, and configuring incident workflows.
• Hands-on experience deploying DSPM tools and managing cloud data exposure and classification at scale.
• Strong understanding of endpoint, network, email, cloud, and API-based DLP controls across AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS, and on-premises systems.
• Experience with data access governance, least privilege, identity and access management, shadow IT, and unmanaged data stores.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building or scaling a DLP or data protection program from the ground up.
• Familiarity with CASB, SSE, AWS Macie, Azure Purview, or Google DLP API.
• Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or CCPA.
• Scripting or automation skills with Python or PowerShell.
• CISSP, CISM, CDLP, vendor-specific certifications, or a relevant computer science or information security degree.
