Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist (Accounting & Finance)

What you will do

• Follow up with clients by telephone and email regarding overdue receivables, duplicate payments, and invoices omitted from payment runs.
• Collaborate with project managers and Client Services Group colleagues to resolve payment delays.
• Research misapplied and unapplied client payments and update outstanding-balance records in the accounts receivable system.
• Prepare monthly aged-debt reports, client statements, payment reminders, and collection letters.
• Respond to requests for invoices, remittance details, tax documents, and other supporting materials.
• Maintain organised files and documentation for internal and audit queries.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience in collections or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation and accountability.
• Relevant degree, vocational qualification such as AAT, or equivalent practical experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is relevant to the role.
