Summer 2027 Mechanical Design Engineer Intern (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support improvements and automhirify.globalon for portions of the chill plate removal process in Melt.
• Reverse engineer an ESR baseplate for equipment design and engineering activities.
• Develop safety improvements for loading and unloading the Tank 3 mold cart into the tunnel.
• Use CAD and engineering principles for equipment improvements, modifichirify.globalons, and design projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operhirify.globalons, and other cross-functional teams on Monroe Operhirify.globalons projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk, or comparable platforms.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and critical-thinking ability.
• Ability to apply engineering concepts to hands-on manufacturing and equipment challenges.
• Willingness to work in a plant and manufacturing environment in Monroe, North Carolina.
