TL;DR
Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships (Higher Education): Developing and managing multidisciplinary partnerships across industry, government, nonprofit, community, research, education, and training sectors with an accent on business development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic alignment. Focus on negotiating partnership agreements, leading complex projects, and creating opportunities with measurable institutional and social impact.
Location: Brisbane South (Nathan), Australia; hybrid mix of on-campus and work-from-home options available. Work may also be required across other locations.
Salary: AUD 147,057.74 base plus 17% superannuation; full package AUD 172,057.55.

What you will do
- Identify, develop, and manage major strategic collaboration opportunities involving multiple partners and internal stakeholders.
- Lead partnerships primarily for Griffith Business School, with complementary coverage across Arts, Education, and Law.
- Develop partnership concepts, proposals, presentations, and stakeholder relationships to support strategic industry partnership goals.
- Work with Academic Groups to develop business opportunities spanning research, education, and training projects.
- Coordinate with Research, Advancement, and Marketing & Communications portfolios to promote partnership outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice and negotiate partnership agreements and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and substantial proven business development experience.
- Expertise in value creation, opportunity identification, communication, collaborative relationship management, negotiation, and deal-making.
- Experience leading strategic projects, implementing plans, managing resources, and delivering projects on time.
- Ability to create high-level communications for diverse audiences and explain complex issues clearly and persuasively.
- Experience facilitating collaboration agreements with legal and commercial departments, plus stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Full unrestricted Australian work rights and successful completion of a National criminal history check are required.
