Associate Director, Operational Transformation

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home.

What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of the Network Operations transformation roadmap in line with strategic priorities and the target operating model.
• Deliver complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives across Network Operations, Engineering, OSS, Automation, Intelligence, Security, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Implement new operating models, capabilities, processes, and ways of working to improve efficiency, resilience, and customer outcomes.
• Establish governance, delivery frameworks, dependency management, risk controls, and accountability mechanisms.
• Drive operational readiness through support models, training, controls, and transition plans.
• Monitor benefits realisation and value delivery while leading relationships with senior stakeholders, strategic partners, vendors, and the transformation team.

Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in telecommunications, Network Operations, large-scale technology transformation, or complex operational environments.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-wide transformation programs involving technology, operating models, processes, and organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of modern Network Operations, including AIOps, automation, observability, service assurance, and operational engineering.
• Experience developing transformation roadmaps, managing complex dependencies, and mitigating operational risks in live environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across Operations, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Commercial, and Technology.
• Strong commercial and strategic capability, supported by tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Telecommunications, Technology, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
