Operations Specialist (Energy)

Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

• Set up core operations, processes, systems, and vendors for the new Australian business unit.
• Own critical launch workstreams end to end and drive them to completion with minimal direction.
• Build operating rhythms, reporting, and KPIs to support reliable business execution.
• Work across commercial, regulatory, finance, people, and customer functions as priorities change.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks while managing partners, suppliers, and Australian stakeholders.
• Coordinate between the Australian team and global leadership in London, using data and AI tools to improve decisions and remove manual work.

Requirements

• 1–10 years of experience in a demanding environment.
• Strong academic record from a top university.
• Experience demonstrating high standards and sustained effort, such as investment banking, consulting, or high-growth technology.
• Exceptional drive, ownership, and initiative, with a track record of making things happen.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down ambiguous challenges.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working without established structure across stakeholders at every level.
