Lead Quality Engineer AI Enablement

Location: East Aurora, New York, United States; in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Frame Quality and business problems, identify decision or workflow needs, and build or coordinate rapid AI-enabled prototypes.
• Develop decision-support tools, workflow automations, dashboards, document-generation experiences, agentic workflows, predictive models, and knowledge-retrieval solutions.
• Partner with GTO, the Office of AI, data teams, cybersecurity, architecture, and technology vendors to define scalable solution paths and production-readiness criteria.
• Map Quality and Safety workflows, decision points, systems, artifacts, handoffs, exceptions, and approval gates across New Product Development processes.
• Translate expert knowledge into build-ready requirements for RAG, RAG+Build, agents, predictive models, workflow automation, and platform capabilities.
• Define quality gates, validation plans, test cases, evidence requirements, escalation rules, and handoff packages while measuring outcomes such as time saved, risk reduction, adoption, and ROI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Product Development, Business Process Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality, Product Development, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Business Analysis, AI enablement, data and analytics, technology delivery, solution consulting, or process transformation.
• Experience creating prototypes or proofs of concept, testing value, and translating successful pilots into scalable implementation plans.
• Practical understanding of RAG, AI agents, workflow automation, human-in-the-loop review, model evaluation, and AI-output validation.
• Experience working with technology teams and vendors on requirements, demos, pilots, deliverables, tradeoffs, and relationship management.
• Strong analytical, systems-thinking, presentation, storytelling, process-mapping, and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in toys, consumer products, manufacturing, product safety, regulatory compliance, product development, or Quality Engineering.
• Familiarity with New Product Development gates and systems such as Veeva, Polarion, Windchill, Agile PLM, GCP/BigQuery, SharePoint, or Teams.
• Experience with knowledge bases, document-generation workflows, dashboards, data applications, process mining, ontology or taxonomy design, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria, golden question sets, regression tests, audit logs, quality gates, or validation frameworks for digital and AI-enabled systems.
