AI Engineering Lead/Manager (Generative AI)

What you will do

• Architect and implement production-ready generative AI solutions using LLMs, transformer-based models, retrieval systems, agentic workflows, and AI agents.
• Design and optimize prompts, workflows, and RAG pipelines for accuracy, cost-efficiency, latency, and safety.
• Build multi-step agentic systems that use external tools and APIs, manage state, and handle complex reasoning tasks.
• Deploy and maintain AI models and pipelines in API, batch, and streaming environments.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for grounding, factuality, latency, and cost, while implementing guardrails and safeguards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and ML Ops to deliver AI features from prototype through production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of applied machine learning experience with hands-on focus on NLP, transformers, or generative AI systems.
• Experience with LLM libraries and services such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, CrewAI, Azure Prompt Flow, or AWS Bedrock Agents.
• Experience designing multi-step agents with tool and API calls, error handling, loop prevention, and safe tool use.
• Production experience deploying and monitoring machine learning models and AI applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Fluency in Python and experience with containerization, versioning, and CI/CD.
• Experience with experimentation, model evaluation, privacy, bias mitigation, safety guardrails, or related responsible AI practices.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in transformer-based models and LLM architectures.
• Ability to take rapid prototypes through production and own live systems.
• Strong collaboration across data science and engineering.
