AI Operations Lead (Localization)

Location: Pleasanton, California, United States; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Annual base salary: $132,700–$199,100 USD for the primary location; additional US locations: $112,100–$199,100 USD.

What you will do

• Deploy AI model workflows for content transformation, adaptation, and localization using tools such as Modelfront and Intento.
• Design and refine prompts for accurate machine translation and culturally relevant content.
• Integrate AI-driven localization checks into engineering pipelines and streamline workflows with orchestration tools or Phrase.
• Use AI-based testing to validate user-interface consistency and automate linguistic quality evaluation.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Legal, and Responsible AI teams on global AI adoption.
• Support education and upskilling initiatives that improve AI fluency and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in localization or translation operations, including 2+ years working with AI or automation tools.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience applying large or small language models to text-processing or translation workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience managing translation workflows and platforms such as Modelfront, Intento, or Phrase.
• Experience automating manual linguistic or content-workflow steps and building AI-based quality checks.
• Ability to manage multiple release timelines and collaborate across engineering, product, legal, and related teams.

Nice to have

• Python or JavaScript experience for scripting automated workflows.
• Experience connecting AI workflows to Translation Management Systems and Jira.
