Installation Technician II (Commercial Food Equipment)

Location: Redmond, Washington, United States of America; work is performed at office and customer facilities, with travel of up to 50% and occasional overnight assignments.

Salary: $29.70–$40.20 per hour, depending on qualifications and prior experience.

Commercial food equipment manufacturer and service network supporting food service and retail customers with ware washing, cooking, refrigeration, food processing, and ventilation equipment.

What you will do

• Lead or support the installation, assembly, inspection, and basic maintenance of commercial food equipment.
• Uncrate, move, position, and assemble equipment safely at customer sites.
• Inspect equipment operation, identify issues, and assist Service Technicians with service activities.
• Drive service and delivery vehicles to transport or pick up equipment using lift-gate systems.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer basic questions, and address concerns.
• Complete expense reports, maintain tools and vehicles, and follow safety procedures during flexible and extended work hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Ability to work safely with mechanical and electrical equipment and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, soldering, CO₂, and Freon systems.
• Ability to read service manuals and mechanical diagrams and use Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer service, communication, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, drive for extended periods, and work in customer facilities.

• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Willingness to develop toward a future Service/Repair Technician role.
