Senior Mechanical Platform Engineer (Moulding)

Location: Billund, Denmark; hybrid model with three days per week in the office and up to two days from home. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Design concept moulds and components that support future platform standards.
• Create production-ready 3D and 2D mechanical designs for high-volume moulding.
• Support risk reduction through DFMEA and PFMEA activities.
• Partner with production and value chain specialists to implement new technology and improve standards.
• Balance innovation, manufacturability, productivity, cost, and long-term platform performance.
• Progress toward independently owning complete design packages.

Requirements

• Experience delivering complex mould designs and resolving non-standard mechanical design challenges.
• Experience creating 3D and 2D mechanical designs using Siemens NX or a similar tool.
• Manufacturing process expertise applied to design quality, cost, lead time, or assembly improvements.
• Ability to take ownership, communicate across functions, work independently, and make practical engineering trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience applying systems engineering principles in product or platform development.
• Experience building and evaluating tolerance chain and tolerance stack analyses.
• Experience with moulding processes and material selection in manufacturing environments.
• Experience evaluating supplier proposals and optimising manufacturing outcomes.
