Staff Software Engineer (Hardware Infrastructure)

Location: United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility.

Base compensation: $175,000–$225,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop services that automate work across a large server fleet.
• Build internal platforms and tooling for data center infrastructure operations.
• Own the engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering and system design through rollout and reliability.
• Manage large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture, hiring, interviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Python or Golang, or the ability to quickly transition to these languages.
• Ability to write reliable code and investigate complex problems.
• Strong interest in DevOps processes.
• Staff-level experience with system design, task prioritization, high-impact delivery, and technical leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Understanding of modern server architecture and computer networks.
• Experience designing, developing, and operating high-load distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms or infrastructure-level systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, service meshes, observability, performance optimization, or low-latency systems.
