Cyber Security Project Engineer

What you will do

• Identify, triage, analyze, quantify, and track remediation of vulnerabilities across networks and systems.
• Correlate data from security tools and sources with threat intelligence on adversaries, malware, campaigns, and infrastructure.
• Develop vulnerability, risk, threat mitigation, and remediation plans, tracking progress through KPI metrics.
• Deploy, configure, and operate vulnerability management tools and analyze vulnerability results.
• Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, formal review documentation, schedules, and program plans.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, reviews, requirements gathering, and portfolio activities.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field, including vulnerability management, network security, cloud security, security operations, and information security.
• Knowledge of adversarial TTPs, attack methods, exploitation techniques, network architectures, Linux, Windows, virtual platforms, and cloud environments.
• Experience with vulnerability types, OWASP and OS-level categories, CVSSv2/CVSSv3, NVD, CVE MITRE, VULdb, MITRE ATT&CK, and MITRE DEFEND.
• Experience with threat intelligence, all-source cyber research, patch management, SDLC, and risk mitigation planning.
• Experience with Tableau or PowerBI, SharePoint, ServiceNow, JIRA, project management methodologies, and executive reporting.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience communicating vulnerability results to senior executives and performing complex technical work with minimal direction.
• Experience with Confluence, advanced Excel analytics, malware reverse engineering, or threat hunting in large distributed environments.
