Java Software Developer (Fullstack)

Location: 100% remote within Canada; Toronto Office is listed as the role location, with flexible remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements available. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Base salary: CAD 101,000–118,000 annually, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, test, debug, document, and support web applications based on business requirements.
• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Java, React, Spring Boot, Spring React, Node, and AWS or other cloud technologies.
• Develop and support hirify.global's web properties, including integrations with enterprise systems and APIs using JSON RPC, SOAP, and REST.
• Ensure the security, stability, performance, and service delivery of websites and related applications.
• Participate in the on-call application support rotation and apply Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, stakeholders, technology teams, and agile project managers to define requirements and end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in Computer Science.
• At least 1 year of software development experience; 3–6 years is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Java, React, Spring Boot, Spring React, and Node.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing AWS or other cloud solutions according to industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment and provide technical insight to inform, guide, challenge, and support technical decisions.
• Commitment to continuously developing technical skills and staying current with technology.
• Current authorization to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Adobe Experience Manager experience, including AEM Sites, reusable components and templates, enterprise system and API integrations, content authoring optimization, and digital customer experience development.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and AI Agent technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Q, OpenAI, LangChain, or agentic AI frameworks.
• Mobile development experience with React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java.
• Prior investment or mutual fund experience.
