AI Native Software Engineer II, Identity & Trust (Fintech)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional onsite attendance as required.

Starting base salary: $124,000–$155,000 per year; equity and other compensation components are also offered.

What you will do

• Build complete applications, workflow automations, and basic agents within the product area using AI coding agents.
• Translate customer needs into specifications and ship solutions from requirements through deployment.
• Instrument solutions to track usage and outcomes, then iterate based on the results.
• Evaluate AI-generated output against security, privacy, reliability, and quality standards before shipping.
• Participate in customer conversations to identify acute problems and automation opportunities.
• Document approaches, effective prompts, and reusable patterns for the team.

Requirements

• Proficiency with AI coding agents for end-to-end application development.
• Ability to write effective prompts and iterate to achieve desired outcomes.
• Understanding of full-stack applications, including frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with common architectural patterns such as web applications, APIs, databases, and queues.
• Awareness of fundamental design principles, common UI/UX patterns, and basic product development concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret basic analytics, including usage metrics, conversion rates, and error rates.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, learning-oriented mindset.
