Technical Program Manager, Monetization

Location: Bellevue, New York, Palo Alto, or Santa Monica, United States. Expected to work in an office 4+ days per week under the default-together policy.

Base salary: $162,000–$284,000 annually depending on U.S. pay zone, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The position is also eligible for RSUs.

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple engineering organizations.
• Own critical programs from ideation through execution and operational excellence, managing ambiguity, dependencies, and accountability.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders on roadmaps, technical decisions, architectural trade-offs, and execution.
• Use Python, SQL, notebooks, dashboards, and data analysis to guide programs and communicate insights.
• Build automation tools and improve internal systems, platform reliability, efficiency, performance, and cost management.
• Mentor junior technical program managers and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience across engineering, data science, or technical program management in software or technology, including 3+ years in technical program management.
• Experience leading large-scale, ambiguous programs across distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience analyzing systems, building tools, and using data for decisions.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Looker, or Tableau; GitHub; and JIRA.
• Experience partnering with engineers on technical design, architecture, roadmap planning, and production-system reliability.

Nice to have

• Software engineering or infrastructure systems background.
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, Hive, Kafka, or Flink.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Experience building internal tools or developer platforms, managing production systems, reliability initiatives, or cost optimization programs.
• Experience with high-scale consumer or social platforms and a master's degree or PhD in an analytical field.

Hiring process
