Associate Scientist II, MSAT (RNA/LNP)

Salary: $81,000–$89,000 annually, plus bonus and equity incentives

What you will do

• Support the execution, continuous improvement, and maturation of preclinical and clinical-stage manufacturing processes.
• Perform lab-scale RNA and lipid nanoparticle production and analytical testing.
• Evaluate process improvements, troubleshoot technology transfer and manufacturing challenges, and support process scale-up.
• Author technical protocols and reports documenting experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
• Collaborate with Process Development, Analytical Development, Automation, Quality, and external technical teams.

Requirements

• B.S. or advanced degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of biotech experience with RNA and/or lipid nanoparticle process improvement, manufacturing, or optimization.
• Experience with process development, scale-up, technology transfer, manufacturing support, and process troubleshooting.
• Experience optimizing enzymatic reactions, chromatographic purification, tangential flow filtration, and other filtration methods for biologics.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data and communicating technical conclusions to cross-functional groups.
• Hands-on experience with RNA or lipid nanoparticle production and analytical methods such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis, ELISA, DLS, and RiboGreen.

Nice to have

• Experience with process characterization or later-stage development activities.
• Familiarity with ÄKTA systems and UNICORN control software.
