Program Director (Defense Radar Systems)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States. The role requires on-site work and up to 25% domestic and international travel. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Salary: $189,000–$255,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead complex multidisciplinary programs covering the design, development, manufacturing, integration, installation, deployment, modernization, and sustainment of ground-based and naval radar systems.
• Own program portfolios covering cost, schedule, technical performance, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
• Establish program strategy, budgets, execution plans, milestones, performance metrics, and reporting based on customer and business requirements.
• Manage EVMS performance measurement baselines, cost and schedule analysis, variance analysis, and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, manufacturing, contracts, finance, quality, supply chain, sales, and external partners.
• Oversee requirements, risks, integration, operational readiness, site acceptance, field deployment, regulatory considerations, and customer commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience managing program or project managers or cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing EVMS for complex programs, including performance measurement baselines and corrective action planning.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing, resource allocation, program risks, dependencies, and executive-level stakeholder relationships.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management approaches.
• Familiarity with Jira, MS Project, or similar tools.
