Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist (Neurological Testing)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois; Feinberg/Galter, FL 07. Onsite role with 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Salary: USD 28.65–44.41 per hour, plus shift differential and overtime eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform neurological testing and monitoring, including standard, long-term, and ambulatory EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.
• Conduct additional testing such as evoked potentials, electronystagmography, and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring when applicable.
• Prepare patients, place recording electrodes, follow established protocols, document clinical observations, and complete billing information.
• Identify technically inadequate signals, troubleshoot testing issues, and communicate abnormalities or potential changes to coordinators and neurologists.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, support quality improvement activities, and collaborate with Neurological Testing Center staff.
• Train new Neurodiagnostic Technicians and student preceptors and provide performance feedback.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Registry in the relevant discipline, including R.EEG.T through ABRET for EEG, or R.NCS.T through AAET or CNCT through ABEM for EMG.
• Board registry-eligible candidates may be considered if registration is completed within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to provide patient care primarily for adults and geriatric patients, with neonatal interaction required for technicians performing EEGs.
• Must work onsite in Chicago and be available for 12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Registration in additional disciplines such as EEG, EP, CLTM, or CNIM.
• ABRET registration for EP, CLTM, or CNIM.
• Prior experience with multiple ENDT modalities.
