Ops Supervisor Landfill

What you will do

• Supervise lead operators, operators, and general laborers supporting landfill operations.
• Ensure adherence to fill sequencing plans, density goals, operating standards, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety and accident-prevention programs, remove unsafe conditions, and coordinate equipment compliance with maintenance.
• Manage customer issues, unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes.
• Set productivity goals, manage labor hours and disposal expenses, and support budget achievement.
• Coach employees, develop talent, and promote employee engagement and advancement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to direct a large staff and build collaborative, high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, leadership, and talent-development skills.
• Experience in labor relations and a process- and results-oriented approach.
• State certification as required by regulation.
