TL;DR
Supervisor, Accounting (EPC Accounting): Managing accounting oversight, financial reporting, project reviews, and period-end close activities for complex engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with an accent on ASC 606 revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit compliance. Focus on analyzing project financial results, interpreting contracts for billing, coordinating intercompany accounting, and supporting accurate forecasting and decision-making.
Location: Houston, Texas; at least 60% of the work schedule is in person

What you will do
- Oversee detailed financial and administrative activities across multiple projects with varying complexity.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and accounting systems, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Analyze monthly financial results, maintain reporting accuracy, and support cash monitoring and forecasting.
- Manage internal controls, SOX compliance, and activities related to internal and external audits.
- Review projects, contracts, billing, and revenue recognition in collaboration with project and non-accounting teams.
- Coordinate with accounting staff in offices worldwide and support intercompany matters, reconciliations, and entity rationalization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term EPC contracts.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory, support-service, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across teams, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to work at least 60% in person in Houston, Texas.
Nice to have
- CPA or CPA-ready status.
- Joint venture accounting or public accounting experience.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics EPM, or Workiva.
