Senior Software Engineer (Swift/C++)

Location: San Francisco, CA, or anywhere in the continental United States.

Base salary: $140,000–$196,000 for candidates in the United States outside NYC and San Francisco; $154,000–$215,000 for candidates in NYC and San Francisco.

What you will do

• Build device integrations and features across backend services and native clients for Windows, iOS, macOS, and ChromeOS.
• Develop secure sign-in experiences for students using shared school devices.
• Lead projects including Platform SSO for macOS, Google Books login support, and Apple School Manager integration.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, IT administrators, and Customer Support to improve integrations in school districts.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and provide technical leadership.
• Support reliable delivery and adoption of integrations while maintaining critical login systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong software engineering fundamentals and device-centric experience.
• Professional experience building native Windows applications or supporting Windows environments.
• Experience with MDM platforms such as Intune or Jamf, Entra/Azure environments, or Apple School Manager.
• Experience leading complex projects from design through deployment and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience architecting end-to-end systems, writing modular and testable code, reducing technical debt, and automating unit and end-to-end tests.
• Commitment to understanding and prioritizing hirify.global's engineering culture.

Nice to have

• Experience with Swift, C++, Go, TypeScript, Node, React, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, or MongoDB.
• Experience developing for iOS, macOS, Windows, or ChromeOS.
• Comfort participating in an on-call rotation for critical login systems.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
