Treasury Operations Analyst IV - Collateral Management & Liquidity Reporting (Banking)

Location: Hybrid in Buffalo, New York, United States; four days per week in the One M&T Plaza office, including every Tuesday, with one remote day available.

Salary: $74,600–$124,400 annual USD

What you will do

• Lead projects and workstreams across Treasury Operations and represent the department in enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Develop complex reports, spreadsheets, financial analyses, workflow analyses, and historical reporting for Treasury Operations.
• Support collateral management, secured funding, liquidity readiness, optimization initiatives, and related stakeholder coordination.
• Conduct data reviews, reconciliations, research, and analysis to identify operational and data quality issues.
• Lead procedures, audit support, regulatory examinations, user certifications, compliance testing, and control activities.
• Plan, test, and implement systems, products, projects, and regulatory changes while coordinating with business partners, vendors, and Technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience, or 7 years of combined higher education and work experience including at least 3 years of related experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of banking, finance, treasury, liquidity management, or regulatory reporting concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and complex spreadsheet development.
• Experience analyzing large datasets, identifying data quality issues, leading multi-stakeholder initiatives, and drafting procedures or control documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical, operational, and analytical information to business and technology partners.

Nice to have

• Experience in Treasury Operations, collateral management, loan pledging, liquidity management, FHLB, the Federal Reserve Discount Window, or secured funding programs.
• Experience with commercial, consumer, residential mortgage, HELOC, construction, or commercial real estate loan products.
• Experience with audits, examinations, regulatory reporting, compliance testing, data governance, process optimization, or automation.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar analytics tools.
• Project management experience involving requirements gathering, testing, implementation support, and process enhancements.
